There are places that we all go that are not real and yet not completely
imaginary. We visit them in the quiet times, in dream, in deep thought. Our
memories are distorted with the passage of time, our histories are reinvented as
our fading memories resurrect themselves. In memory, the fictions and dreams
we've known mix indiscriminately with the realities we've known, leaving all in
question. Our memories and experiences are encoded like so many bits of data.
This code helps guide our actions, yet is constantly changing, decaying,
rearranging the bits and pieces into new structures, new applications. But in
these shadows we search for truth, convinced if we examine closely it will
suddenly appear.
