As you approach the store front gallery space, you see the performer wearing a poorly fitting prom dress, combat boots, and heavy makeup in pastel shades. The floor is strewn with large sheets of cardboard, scissors, glue, and fashion magazines. When you enter, she approaches and asks for help finding a new look. She offers the magazines and scissors and leaves you to recreate her look from fragments of fashion queens. She walks among the participants and talks to them about the images they're creating and the images from the magazines. "This would never fit me" she might say, and begin to cut the image out. As she moves about the space she repeatedly adjusts the top of her dress, although it falls back down immediately. Occasionally she returns to her makeup box, and reapply heavier makeup, becoming quickly frustrated by her inability to make it conform to the look she needs.
