You are led down to the end of an old mining cave, and told that for your own safety they should remain standing and still in place when the flashlights are turned out. The space is then immersed in complete, total darkness, and a voice over is heard: a mother's voice. The performer turns a small flashlight on your face, slowly passing it over the audience, exposing you in the darkness and creating a moment of vulnerability. When the mother finishes her tale, the performer turns the light on her own face and says "Trust me," then turns the light out.
